Only in Florida: Man Arrested for Indecent Exposure, Claims His Moods Tell Him to Strip

"I get naked when I get really happy or really sad," said John Walter Lee Gill, of St. Petersburg, Florida. Lee's comments were capture in a police report documenting his arrest for indecent exposure and obstruction.

According to a police report obtained by The Smoking Gun, Lee, 47, exited his room at the Kenwood Village Inn in St. Petersburg on Wednesday morning July 19, and dropped his shorts exposing his entire naked body.

Sitting outside the one-level motel complex where Lee resides were several people, including children. Although the child witness who spoke with police, claimed to have only seen Lee's buttocks, another witness says he stood nude in front of the motel in plain view of the public and other guests.

Police were called to the scene and quickly arrested Gill, who said: "I get naked when I get really happy or really sad."

Although there was no mention on the police report as to whether happiness or sadness prompted Gill's impromptu strip show, the box noting "indication of drug influence" was checked "yes."
