EDGE: Whether you find love on the show or not, what are you looking for in someone?

Nigel Battle: I'm looking for someone to share my life with. I've always been inspired by the deeper romantic connections that I've seen throughout media and life. I think more recently than ever, I've been not afraid to say what I want. Sometimes people can be a little hesitant to say that they want the true fairytale story romance and I've just been unapologetic about wanting that. That's what I want, and I am willing to fight to have it. I want to find true love.

EDGE: The show's host is Stormy Daniels. What was it like being in her universe?

Nigel Battle: It was amazing. The best part about being with Stormy this season was that she really got her feet wet in Season One. So, this time around, you can tell that she was more invested in the show and with us as contestants. When we were in the room with her and going through moments, she was going through them with us. It felt great to be so collectively together rather than just a host and the contestants. It was a beautiful experience to enjoy with her for sure. She is truly an amazing human.

EDGE: What have you learned about yourself from being on the show?

Nigel Battle: It's only been a few episodes, but watching them back, I see myself growing and how much I have learned about myself. What I remember from filming is how much I learned to trust in myself. I was there to be myself because someday I was going to have to take ownership of everything that I said and did. It gave me a chance to get to know myself and question what I thought was valuable and what I thought was a good person. It was exciting to challenge myself and see who I really was.

EDGE: Gay dating shows have evolved, and we have seen the changes on such shows as "The Real World "and "Big Brother," but we still need change. Shows like this still have not reached network television. What needs to be done to make that leap?

Nigel Battle: I think it's going to take a level of vulnerability and representation that can be seen from further away. We need to connect with more than just those within the LGBTQ+ community. We need to connect to humans as a whole and once that connection is made, that should open the doors for those more mainstream networks. I believe that we're on a beautiful slow burning journey to that now.

EDGE: Why should we tune into "DILFS?"

Nigel Battle: You should tune in because we got lucky with casting. On set, I found myself surrounded by some very pure, authentic, fun, and exciting people. It's not just my journey that I want people to tune into, but everybody's journey. We really did put our hearts and who we are into this production, and there's so much to learn from it. I promise you will be truly entertained. If you are not watching, then you are really missing out. I hope everyone can grab something from it and be inspired by it. Even if you think it's trash TV, put it on in the background and let it be a part of your life in some way.
