Hollywood legend Demi Moore is back in the trailer for what appears to be a bloody, body-horror flick from director Coralie Fargeat called "The Substance."

The film, which premiered at this year's 77th Cannes Film Festival, follows Moore as an aging Hollywood star looking to reclaim her former, younger glory by any means necessary, and then she is offered a revolutionary treatment called The Substance.

"Have you ever dreamt of a better version of yourself?" a voice over asks in the preview, with a sultry looking more gazing in the Mirror. And by the looks of the trailer, Margaret Qualley plays a big role in Moore's eventual transformation. Wink, wink.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Dennis Quaid is spotted having a meal, Moore flies violently across the room and smears lipstick on her face. Overall, the film gives "Death Becomes Her" vibes with a much darker twist on the stay young forever angle.

At Cannes, the film reported earned an 11-minute standing ovation and was awarded the best screenplay prize from the jury.

Produced by five-time Oscar-nominated duo Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, with Fargeat, "The Substance" is Fargeat's second directorial feature after the intense "Revenge" (2017), reports Variety.

Between Moore's turn in FX's "Feud: Capote vs. The Swans" and starring in the upcoming Paramount+ series "Landman" alongside Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Hamm, this is shaping up to be the year of more Moore.
